Hello Beth!! Boyd&I ate at DQ today after church. We had a beautiful sunshiny day today!! Three days this week, it was so gloomy, it looked like evening in the mornings!! Temps are dropping fast tonight. 50 now. Are you cooking dinner on Thanksgiving day?? WE are going to our son, Bill's house. I cook on Christmas. I will be taking sweet potato casserole and a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting!! Our kids always grabbed a spoon and got all the frosting left in the bowl!! Oh, the good old days! Hugs Shirley
Good Afternoon to you. I forgot to mention to you that we wouldn't be gone all weekend. We just went to the funeral and came back home the same day. It was a cold and breezy day. Saturday the sun was shining and it got up to 60 degrees. Now today its supposed to get up to 60 degrees but I don't think it will. Its getting cloudy and we have a very good chance for rain. The termperature this week are going downhill every day. By Sunday its supposed to be 41 and a chance for a frozen mix. Not my kind of weather. So I will be buying groceries tomorrow for this week and next. I hope you had a good weekend. I just rested yesterday as I was tired from the trip on Friday. Enjoy the rest of your day my friend and take care.
It's a good day to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather here. It will be a busy week preparing for Thanksgiving! I just love Thanksgiving and smelling the turkey cooking in the oven.
You have sure been busy getting ready for your company. there is so much to do getting ready for company and then to add all the things to do for Thanksgiving. Hope you have a wonderful time.
My dad has needed my help more this past week. His eyes are bothering him so he went after groceries with me this past week. He will be 85 in February. Thankfully he lives next door to me so I can be there to help in a couple min.

HI Beth! we enjoyed an early thanksgiving meal at my daughter's and son-n-laws house yesterday. we had a whole fried turkey and a smoked turkey breast, it had some kind of jalapeno sauce over it, but it wasn't hot or spicy, both were really good, and of course, lots of sides to choose from, green bean casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, homemade dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls...for dessert, a chosing of apple, and pumpkin pie, and pumpkin cheesecake bars...that's what we all ended up eating for dessert, the cheesecake bars, they were soo good! we just stayed a couple of hours, had a great visit with my grandson and his girlfriend. Had to drive home on country roads in the dark...LOL that part was scary, watching out for deer.. we did bring home a plate for today...so we're set....oink oink... I mean.. gobble til we wobble...LOL!
