Hello Melinda. Where have all the conversation candy hearts gone? They aren't on the store shelves here this year. I read online there were complaints to the company about the flavors not being all that good. And a spokesman for the company said it would try to do better. In the meantime, I miss all those cute comments on the hearts, most of which were sweet. I didn't care much about the flavors, I couldn't taste much difference between them anyway. I hope they bring out a new improved candy heart soon.

Yes, it's been a very busy week. He'll followup with his reg doc in a month. Then cardiac rehab in 6 weeks. How has your week been?

Hi Darlene   i sure did go to the store Tuesday and im loaded up well .

Im good for this month and  a few in March lol.  The main street near the store has everything  you can imagine .

But everything isn`t  close but you can get to them different places easy with a car.

Im waiting for the  driverless cars  to start hitting Illinois. Pretty soon they just might arrive.

I would think of buying  one

Don`t think i would use it too often though .

They will have driverless taxis to check  out first  for people  to  go for a spin to see what its like. 

You been on a hot chocolate kick   lol

We just had Hot chocolate day a couple days ago . 

I like them with marshmallows too.  

Im doing good so far  . Always on the go. .

We might have a little snow tonight like an inch  or so but that`s  no big thing.

When i went to do my shopping i bought 4 big bags of peanuts in the shell .

Those squirrels just love them .

I have to be careful i don`t give them too much .

You should see how they scamper away with their treasure. 

They wait by my door in the morning  if its not freezing out.

  Sometimes they get two in their mouth.

Looks like this month is flying by . Have a nice evening  .It is time for me to go ands close up ,relax and read

I love your Valentines page Darlene!...it's going to be a beautiful weekend for us! AND I get to start back to walking out around the lake...doctor said I need to do that now to see how well my knee will hold up after my surgery.

Hello Melinda. We got a foot of snow out of Saturday's blizzard. The streets are in fair condition---there's a lot of closed businesses today. The only way we got to a supermarket was in the four wheel drive vehicle of a person who lives with us. I feel sorry for the poor groundhog rudely awakened from his sleep. And I really don't believe he can predict an early spring. Six more weeks of winter is what I expect. Maybe, in two more days the residential streets will be ready for the mail carrier and delivery trucks. And  I'm hoping we can run our errands and have appointments again, as is normal.

We had 3 different groundhogs  and 2 of them saw their shadow.Strange why 1 didnt see its shadow.

Maybe it was in the shade lol

Who determines if it sees it`s shadow or not?  Could that person be fibbing ?lol

So we have  6 more weeks of this cold weather.

Tomorrow it wil be about 27 degrees so ill stock up on food and be good for  another month

Ill keep track on how many folks i see with masks on lol 

 If i make good time ill walk to walgreens  after i put the groceries up.

Hello Melinda. We had a simple dinner of hamburgers and potatoes for dinner last night. We are awaiting the snowfall expected to arrive sometime this morning. The supermarkets barely had a chance to restock from ice storm weekend, before the crowds came out again to shop for snowfall weekend. And it's cold, much colder than winter is usually forecast to be, even in January.

I have been watching America suffer ther cold on TV ,Its been dreadful out there hasnt it .

We have had rain ,but we do usually get your weather after you, abeit not quite as bad hopefully if that does happen.

Im not kidding you but when i went out to shovel snow last week it felt like  a spring day outside

.No hood  on just a ballcap and a stocking cap for my ears . 

It was so nice out there.But when those blustery temps start to  come  forget it.

It is COLD

Lots of people think about getting their cars washed in this type of weather and some  find out they have a hard time getting  out of their  car. 

They  get locked in .

OMG that has to freak someone out being in that type of  situation .

I think if them squirells are hungry enough they will try and eat them sunflower seeds

They are picky .

I have not seen any of the cars here look this bad  like the ones below , not yet anyways.

All that snow you got out there adds up thats what`s making it so  darn cold.

We are still thawing out here..the driveway has some ice lingering, but it should be clear and dry by this evening. They're forecasting snow for Saturday now. It will be interesting to see how this system pans out. It will only be a high of 28 on Saturday. I did manage to get to the grocery store mid day. We never lost power last weekend, so very grateful for that. Hope all is good there. I just had to stay offline for a while and destress. How's your weather? They're still calling for snow here for Saturday.
