OK! So the phone rings... me, being the nosey person I am, I answer... I am laffing already! It's that rotten Becky person calling from work!

Now, this will tell you where I place in the scheme of life (read Becky's world here)...Beck wants to know how the pup is doing! Does she ask about my health and welfare? Does she ask if I am over my sore throat and bronchitis? Does she ask if I am surviving the onslaught of a very active and devilish young boxer?

I don't think so!

How is the pup doing? lololol

I cracked up!

Well, I gave her the latest! Paper towels shredded... Stole the feather duster... knocked the nice hot coffee off the table... (later Maxfield managed to wipe out another cup of nice hot coffee) Now did I manage to get a sip of this wonderful smelling coffee? Another I DON'T THINK SO! That pot didn't last long!

Then there was the bin with the empty pop cans by the kitchen door! Can you say: cans all over the floor? Oh yeah! I drink diet pop so there is no problem with sticky sugar.. but a mess is a mess is a mess!

The 6 pack has really taken to him! (I don't think they had a choice) Spudley watches to make sure the Newbie doesn't get too rough with Max... Big Mamma dog, China, observes and stays out of it...

Ya know, when China has any doubts about any situation, she hustles the smaller dogs to a safe location (usually in the house with me) then lets the males do guard duty. I seem to be a part of the 'small dog to be protected' group! I think this is a compliment...or not!

Do you guys realize I now have 7 dogs? A 6 pack plus one? I have lost my mind! Not that I had much of one to begin with! lololol

Here's another one! The neighbors have complained to me about the truck not being parked out front in the drive! lolol Are they hard to please or what? lolol Cracks me up...Where is she? Is she ok? What is she up to now? Why is the truck missing?

I ran down to the two pumper the other day and was inundated with questions! It is heart warming but funny too... Do anything out of the ordinary here in the mountains and everybody notices!

People around here know more about what I am doing than I do! I love it!

I am outa here for now... Have five seedling Lilacs to get planted... and since we have had a half inch of rain (YES!) I need to do the suzy home maker things... like the laundry! Hate housework!

Well, ratz! Server dropped me again..JC rec'd 3 copies of yesterday's News.. lolol... Anyhow, I went out to check on my flyguys, could hear em but not see them! Strange cloud formations out there today and the clouds are just a flying! Chilly wind blowing!

Well, kids... I'm running late today..

Maxfield D Parrish disappeared yesterday afternoon... I was afraid he was lost forever... but NO, he came back this morning....Other than a few growls and dominance things, no problems!

The growls were mine! Oh dear! How quickly I forget! I have shredded paper towels on the floor.. along with a whole cup of coffee... I've had to run down the hall way to rescue my poor abused feather duster... Squalling, cuss word, Max! NO! cuss word! lololol Well ratz!

I have really, truly, thoroughly lost my mind... She says giggling! Did you know young boxers are almost as bad as a young lab? Oh yeah they sure are! Just what I needed to keep me busy up here! And I do need the exercise... lolololol

Keeping this short today... Lots of new members in VNV and so many things to get caught up on...

November 11th is coming up.. A day to remember all our heroes... the ones on the Wall...the ones in the Arlingtons of the world...and the ones who survive today!

I can't believe I've done this to myself! I have the cutest lil mini-boxer sitting in the chickyduck pen! Golden tan in color... big brown eyes... looking so sad! I'll only keep him in there a couple of days for his own safety... I cannot bear to see an animal chained or tied or confined... Truth!

Anyway, Mornin all! I just might recover from the last ten days... or then again I might not! lolol

The two important things that I am supposed to do and haven't yet? Pay the bills and send in my prescriptions to have them refilled... I forgot! This is not like me! I plead the fifth (vanilla) here!

Can you say sensory/input overload? Sheesh! Politically correct or not, I WILL shoot any one who might mention we will have a repeat of 2008! So watch it!

My toaster died yesterday! Right in the middle of warming my famous chicky fried livers and gravy! No, I wasn't warming the livers in the toaster! I am not gonna rephrase here! lolol I was fixing the toast when toaster quit! I didn't even cuss! Back to normal! Electrical things don't like me... Just a fact of my rather disorganized life! Now I'm getting tickled!

Oh gee, I just discovered the KK and the Marv are at it again! Two of my faves acting just like the brats they are... Don't know what started it this time.. but the last time I checked, they were shipping aligators back and forth in their profile comments. I ain't a gonna ask.. so don't ask me! That way lies madness! lololol

Rule of thumb! NEVER ASK WHY! Not of kids, cats, dogs, husbands, horses or friends...!!!!

Speaking of horses... I bought one of those big round bales of hay yesterday! It now be sitting down there next to the chicky-duck-dog pen! Is anybody following my logic here? lolol

Dogs bark... I check... guy who did mowing a while back was picking up bales... I flagged him down.. I ask if he was selling or could I buy a bale...he picked up bale and took it right over where I wanted it placed...I paid him... we discussed the fate of the world for a few. He went on his way.. I now have my very own round bale of
hay setting out back.

Hay makes warm critter beds... good mulch... I mix it with the clay soil to 'soften' the soil around new plants or trees. It holds moisture for the new growth and helps the baby trees to survive in this dry weather.

I'm gonna call the hay guy, hayguy from now on! He's gonna give me an estimate on moving the fallen down shed that I've been given... shed is across the road (between the curves) Gonna put it down by the pen...Yes! A place for my tools and wheelbarrow and and!

I still haven't finished the winter scene painting and I have a commission to do a lighthouse in winter... Oh gee! Bear with me kids... Will check in later but now I must get busy! Any volunteers? I have a whole list of honeydo's lololol

Mumble... grumble... grouse ...complain ...going bald (tearing hair out!)... aging rapidly (normal for me) ...chewing finger nails to the elbows... abusing dogs and tearing the feathers out of the chickyducks! Parts of the above are true! Your choice as to which ones! lololol

Have I mentioned in the past that I HATE PUTERS? Surely I have... well, at my age, I'm allowed to repeat myself! lolol Oh yeah! Cause I said! Ratz... now I must close down for updates...Be back in a bit...meems

1148est... Well, I'm back... lololol Long round about trip but I made it! Maybe!

Sheesh! I think this is not fun but I am starting to find my way around...

You guys will love this one! I go to kitchen... ratz! no coffe left over to heat up... I make a two cup pot which works rather quickly... I do the whole routine with the big pot (the one I don't like)... turn maker on! Stand there at the sink staring out the window! Not seeing a darned thing (can you say: not awake yet?)

Two cupper is doing it's thing... finally have a large mug of fresh coffee..

Dawns on me that I am not hearing the normal sounds coming from the 10 cupper! Now what? Wait... dogs are alarm barking...

1218est... well! Have no idea why dogs were barking! Back to 10 cupper... no sound because the water was still in the pot and not in the maker! Hmmmm! I really don't do well first thing in the mornings... lololol

Phone rang... was tech from IP...WOWSER, guys! The tech was checking to see if all was working properly...oh yeah! GUESS WHAT? The tech is one of mine! YES! A. Rose...101st..2nd 327th Infantry! Now, y'all know what this means... and he served during the Gulf War. I've asked him to join us... I hope he will...

Told him about all the good stuff for mine on Eons and where to find us! I am thrilled to death! Just a smiling all over the place...

Wow! Finding Rose was worth all the torment of the bad puter mess... There are no such things as coincidences ... Everything happens for a reason...

Gots the giggles already this morning! This 'new' puter stuff is a killer! Couldn't get the new keyboard to type this morning... Of course, I immediately went into a full blown panic! Did you know the kboard has an on/off button? Well, I didn't... no wires.. to board or mouse? This is gonna take some getting used to! lolol All these weird buttons and boops and and and... Anyway, somehow I managed to turn the darned thing off, the kboard that is, and I sure don't know how I did that! The mouse didn't like it either!

I asked KK the other day if I could give up and she said ... NO!... Well ratz!

So here I am... in the middle of the biggest mess you will ever see! Even when I am cleaning it doesn't get this bad! Sheesh! Have you any idea how much stuff I had to move to get under the puter table? Just tell me no here and let it go at that! lololol

I'll tell ya one thing... lolol ... I ain't havin' any trouble sleeping at nite right now! I think that's a good thing! lolol

Oh dear! Beck called me last nite... Would I please take in a small dog that needs a home? A mini boxer... Lordy pete... another mouth to feed... I wish I had the money to first buy all the surrounding property... fence it in.. so that I could take in all the unwanteds around here... Best not go there... too many abused/neglected critters here in the mountains...

Anyway, Beck will bring him out this evening... I will put him on one side of the chicky duck pen for a few days... till other dogs get used to him... I might be able to find him a good home...but y'all know I have 'sucker' tattooed across forehead when it comes to animals of all sorts! lololol

Oh I have so many things to tell you about but just am so limited on time today... Not dressed yet... need to vote... Jessie should be over in about an hour... (She was too tired to come over last nite after round trip to Richmond...) Need to fix a bed for the new puppy dog...I'm forgetting sumfin here...

Spud is doing fine... has been chasing cars already! Cain't break some dogs from doing that and I guess he is one!

We're in a drought situation, right? Can you tell me how I managed to find and sit in a puddle of water on the bank of the pond? The rascal was hiding between two sheets of plastic... and Oh Yeah! it was chilly and the wind was blowing... felt like I had icicles on my tail assembly!

Drought! Some idiot is out there setting fire to the forests... Last week one was set at Fish Trap... another one set the next day at Lower Buffalo. Have been three around my area in just the last two days... All within a 20 mile perimeter... Guess I best get the Marlin out and make sure everything is ok with it...!

Oh, my flyguys... lolol I was out there waving and throwing hugs and kisses... got flashed! Flashed back... New Orleans ain't got nuthin on me! lolol (the 'flashed back'? I just made that part up!) I think one of the neighbors saw me... I didn't hear him coming up the road... and Yes! I was wearing the infamous red bath robe! LOLOL Now, the folk around here will have me pegged as a witch, a pagan as well as a crazy! Ain't this fun! I have the giggles now!

I've got to get going... Maybe tomorrow I will tell you about Glen's trip to the hospital and his thoughts on some of the goin's on! lolol

Where do I start? I have no idea where the beginning is/was! lololol Does anybody care? Do I care? Does it matter?!? Oh yeah! I have a lot of 'get evens' to do!

Have you any idea how hard it is on the ole bod when you can see/read the brats giving you a hard time and not be able to reply in kind?!? Knowing full well the brats were giggling, teeheeing and poking each other in the ribs... "wait till meems reads this... or or or! lolol

Besides using emoticons, I wrote notes to pals(?) on IM using pencil, paper and webcam. I then had a brite idea! Genius idea! Copy and paste sentences, phrases and words from my blogs... Time consuming but it would work! AHA!

Well, trust me, AHA! doesn't work when you don't have a usable keyboard! Nope ... no way... nada! Hmmm! I bet I reached for the old keyboard a hundred or more times!

Ah well, I think I am in business... temporarily anyway... Jess will be over today to set up the new one and then I will see about getting this one fixed!

Gots to get going... get dressed and play with the elec to bring more outlets up here.... (Can you say: extension cords?) lolol This means I must crawl under puter table... shove wire down thru old unused vent; then go play in the basement...

I feel another nap coming on here!

Glen is ok.... came thru all tests safely... Doctor's could give no explanation...(oldest son{39}... chest pains for week... angiogram ran ok)

Spudley is battered and bruised but gonna make it! (He was hit by car 3 days ago! )

YES! I am almost on a sleep schedule... Woke at 0800 hours.... Dogs out/in...
0810 est called Post Office. Doug answered! Poor guy, what a way to start your work day!... lolol

Why did I call Post Office?

Wait, back up Paula... lolol I had made two small items. Needed to send them out by mail. I used those manilla bubble filled envelopes. Wrote notes... Closed and sealed bubble envelopes. All ready to go to the mail box!

Well, in order to avoid a long trip to town and back, I weigh the item on a small scale. I then call the PO and ask how much postage each packet will need. That's what I did this morning...

I called PO... Doug answered (Ladies, ya want to see a good lookin' hunk? Check the photos on my profile. He's gonna kill me!) Anyway, We chat and laff for a couple of minutes... We get down to business! He's in the back of PO... Goes up front to check... Item will need $1. 17 per ounce or was it 1.19 per oz? Ok... I have a 1.1 oz. and a .9 oz. I am all set, right? WRONG!

After I hang up, I get stamps out... (the new Liberty Bell ones) All ready to go... hmmm! This ain't gonna work! I have no idea how much a stamp costs on today's market... Well, Ratz! There ain't no price tag on the stamps! I found some two centers but these ain't gonna work... not enuf room on envelope... not enuf stamps. Back to the telephone!

Doug! How much does one postage stamp go for? Well, he cracks up... I am already tickled! Giggling over phone does not pass the needed info! He finally straightens up... And I hear "42 cents each, Paula". Oh very good... I write this info down so I don't forget. Say good bye to the very patient Doug...

I attack the figures... Now, y'all know I cain't do numbers. Well, I just stuck four stamps on each and said the heck with it! lolol

I meander out to the mail box... hair not combed, old gray bathrobe... Stuff the envelopes in the box... make sure the flag is up...stagger back into the house... Trying not to get run over by the 6 pack! Had a couple of nears misses though. They love these cool mornings... So do I!

Oh, before I forget, I need to thank Cheryl (Handsofhope) for letting me know where my fave coffee mug was hiding! She said to look on back porch. I did. It was! How did she know that?

A special note to Dave48! I will get even! Oh yeah!

OK!?! Somebody want to tell me what time it is? My very modern (read: lots of info) atomic clock tells me it's 0637est...The 'mac' is right above the monitor; it's the one I always check for time, temp, date. The battery run clocks say 0837est. Puter says 0837est! So does the TV.

Now, daggone it! Somebody just this past week reminded me of the time change. Is this the weekend for the change? I don't see it any where in my diary about the time change... All kinds of questions here... Is the 'mac' right/wrong... ? "Fall back" right? If 'mac' is right, it is still wrong by an hour... isn't it? I think I am getting confused here! lololol

I don't know why I pay attention to the time anyway. I'm not going anyplace soon... I go to bed when I want; get up when I want! Sometimes, when I don't want! lolol

I am terribly afraid today is gonna go down hill in a hurry. I can't find my old comfy, blue, just fits my hand, coffee mug! Now where has it gone? Not here in the apartment! Not in the bathroom... Not in the kitchen nor the microwave... Hmmm! I never take it into the studio. (too easy to pick up something else... like a jar of dirty paint thinner... not good for the body systems) Not to the framing room... I can really get carried away with the hammer! Where in the heck did I put it?!?

I know! I must have 'gremlins'! Do my flyguys still have/talk about gremlins? Gremlins are them little critters that used to mess with plane parts and gears and jets and wires... messed with them just enuf to make them malfunction once in a while... The little things that drive pilots and mechanics to distraction trying to find and fix!

Ya know, my guys have been making a lot of runs over the house... hmmm! Y'all don't suppose them BBSB's have been flying over and booting their gremlins out the door, do ya? Every body in the world knows I take in all kinds of strays... Oh dear.... Well, at least gremlins don't eat much but they do like to get into electrical things... like puters!

Another Oh Dear! Does anybody know if gremlins and glitches get along? Can they interbreed... Will I soon have little gremlitches running all over the house? Will I be the one to housebreak them? Do they need to be house broken? I am not prepared for this! Is this a disaster in the making? Will the mountains survive? Will I survive? Looks like I have a lot of pondering to do! lololol Stay tuned!

A third Oh Dear! What a way to greet the day! Now, this is a warning... the following might upset some...

Let the dogs out, Right? Daily routine, Right? Yup yup, right! Well, I open the back door and laying there right in front of me is the furry head and neck bones of a very dead one point buck! Oh yucky pucks! Poor lil feller... him never had a chance....Another of the delights of mountain living...

Now, I don't mind hunting or hunters... I really don't! Use the meat, no problem... I just wish the 6 pack would leave the various and assorted bones out in the yard instead of dragging them up on the back porch! I'll have to act as door person today... other wise, I will have a house full of fresh killed bones in here. Sheesh!

A fourth Oh dear? Fido is complaining! She has plenty of food and water. She has greens to eat! Should have known Fido was a she! She never stops complaining! lololol Sorry ladies, but truth is truth! Of course, we all know that men NEVER do anything like that! I dare not mention the names of the fellers who DO complain! lolol The list would be never-ending! lololol Gotcha guys!

Well, being's I really don't have anything to do today (big lie) I best get moving! lolol
