Mornin' everybody! Welcome home dear hearts, welcome home! Come on in and cool off for a spell! Sheesh... It is a nasty humid day out there again! I really feel sorry for the road crews and anybody who must be working outdoors in this all day!

I think I have 'four wall itis' or cabin fever or or or... I keep telling myself that this too shall end...The hot muggies... and it always has! But, uppermost in my mind right now is when?????

The dogs want out but can't stand the heat and humids either. I let them out and in less than ten minutes they are beating the door down to get back inside. Right now I have wall to wall dogs in here... And when Newbie was finally allowed on the bed, he did it with a vengeance! LOLOL Lordy that dog takes up a lot of room. As Pmac can tell you a Great Pyrenese covers a lot of territory all by themselves. Pmac's Bear is still growing and so is the Newbie! Right, Pmac? lolol

Newbie is now working his way thru the back porch railings... gnawing on them! Trust me it doesn't take much for a rail to be eaten thru... The boy has huge teeth and he does love to use them... However, I can see him growing out of the terrible two's puppy stage. Him is growing up and maturing some... I know I am gonna miss waking up to find the paper towels shredded all over and new tooth marks on the chair legs. What I am not looking forward to is him crawling in bed with me after I go to sleep! lolol I can hear me now! Squalling for him to get OFF! Good thing I don't have close neighbors to complain about the noise, barking and yelling coming from the house... lolol

Let me see here, what else? Oh, Little Jake is having puter problems and so is KK... LJ can receive emails but cannot send them... KK is still in safe mode and struggling to keep her lap top working...

Haven't been outside much to check for con trails but I did have a chopper flying low and right above the house on Saturday! I do mean low! Rattled the walls and the paintings in here... I got so tickled... I wasn't quick enuf to get outside to see it but I really didn't need to... I knew it was there... thems is noisy critters... got my attention right away! lolol loved it!

Fido is now in the pen with the chickens... I went out yesterday afternoon to shoo him in there. He looks so sad still but he will be fine. Somebody was out and about late last nite again. The big dogs were throwing a fit but all are safe and accounted for.

Well kids, I don't think cool weather is ever gonna arrive! I mean, it is some cooler temperature wise but the humidity is so high it's hard to tell the difference! Muggy is muggy!

Went out on the back porch for a few this morning... discovered one of the ducks is missing. No sign of it anywhere. I did hear some noises out back last nite late but didn't go out to check. Safer for me to stay in...Gabby is the one who is missing... Poor Fido is down by the pen... Staying close to the chickens. This evening, I will put him in the pen so he will be safe at nite and not so lonely...

Keeping this short today... have to run some diagnostics and checks on the puter and this can take hours sometimes...

A HEADS UP WARNING! The following is from my son Glen. I called him last nite to double check. He knows I know little to nothing about puters. Take the following for what it is worth:

"Well, after twelve years on the internet, I decided to have a Close Encounter Of the Virus Kind. Thankfully, Norton Systemworks was able to duke it out with the fifteen or so programs to at least keep our in-home network secure, but my machine bought it in the process. While I was watching the fireworks display that Norton had provided, one of the undetected programs was busy hijacking my web browser and forcing all Google results to supply fake links. I kept getting routed to the same sites.

I don't know how much, if any, of my information got fed out through my web browser during the hijack (there is a GLARING security hole in the HTML protocol itself that NO anti-virus software or internet security package can prevent), but to be safe I canceled my credit card (business name.com{emom changed the name of company} is a dangerous thing when you have credit :-) ) and changed most of the passwords on the sites I visit regularly.

So, that being said, go to this article ( view link ) and read it. Maybe a couple of times. Ignore the technical crap and take a look at how legit most of it looks.

So if you start receiving weird letters from me, this is why! Glen"

Poor Glen, I know this is not funny but, I couldn't resist asking him how I would know the difference between his regular weird and this new weird. He is my son, remember? He quickly replied with: If you get an email from me telling you to buy Viagra! Hmmm.... now this gave me something to ponder! lolol Don't think I am gonna go there this morning! Crackin' up!

Hey! I am having a COLD spell today! It is all of 74° out there! Still humid but cooler! Wowser! I just might survive this awful summer yet! This may or may not be a good thing for the world at large!

Hey everybody! I'm up and dressed! Marv has already been grumping at me... KK is fighting with her puters (laptops all), the Boss is on a roll, Bear is being his usual sweetheart self and Onetoejeff said something nice on yesterday's News. Am I in trouble here or what? lololol Worries me when the rotten kids start being nice.

Not a darn thing going on out here right now! Neighborhood is quiet even tho Mr. A is back home.... Well, it's only a matter of time before he gets into some kind of trouble again. Rumor has it that he was in jail.... Lord only knows why.

Posted some pix of the Chicks last nite... I still haven't had a chance to google them but I will. These Silkies don't have regular feathers. They are hairy looking! Yup and the body structure is very primitive looking. Body shape puts me in mind of the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park. The chickens, every one, have five toes on each foot. I don't know if the roosters have spurs or not. The legs are covered with these hairy looking feathers and so are the feet. Can't tell much. The necks are extremely long, wings are small. And they are wilder than the wind but they are getting used to me now. Have even started eating while I am still in the pen...

Which brings to mind T. Rex... well, that's another subject entirely but I do have some questions to ask about the old boy! LOLOL

I am off and running here... have to run some telephone wire... get the phone closer to the puter... since everything was moved around the other day, the phone is just out of reach... unhandy that! and I am getting lazy! lolol

Maybe I should change the name of the News to the "Publishing Sometime Today" Mountain News! I was sitting here getting ready to start the News and I ran out of steam! Nap time already? Oh yeah! I decided to go with the flow!

Onetoejeff has already advised me that my 'old and feeble' remarks are a ploy [to get by with stuff! ...His comment on my news yesterday] Not that I would own up to it, he might just have a point! Notice I said MIGHT! I really have the giggles now!

Heard from OlBear, bless his heart, he is doing well but his puter is not doing as well in the new location. I know the feeling! I also threatened to send Broom out with me riding if he doesn't take care of himself! Bear is really scared of me and Broom... She and I make an awesome presentation! lolol gotcha sweetie!

Went to the store yesterday and got into all kinds of trouble! Spent way too much money... this is too too easy in today's world... A rather smallish t-bone steak had a price tag of $14.?? on it... Double the price of three months ago... Naturally, I bot a dozen at that price... Now there IS a whopper! Once upon a time ago, I would buy one as a treat... Not no more, she says... that is an ouchie price!

Marv and I compare costs/prices all the time. Marv lives in California and the prices are twice the amount out there than they are here. Haven't heard from him today... He must be recovering from the 'Convention'... lolol gotcha!

What else! Oh I saw my fly guys again yesterday! Tell me they can't do morse code with their con trails! LOLOL They ain't got it down pat yet but they is working on it... I really need to print out a new code list! Can't find the old one and I sure as heck can't remember them! I passed the written and the codes years ago. Haven't used the code for more than twenty years but I am gonna find out what they is a saying up there against the blue. Anyway, the colors were gorgeous and burning oranges late in the afternoon... and the camera was at home... well, ratz!

Ok, I just found a note here from two days ago..."Visit... Blog"... What the heck you suppose that means? Who? Whose blog? What was blog about? was that where I was going to visit to begin with? lolol I wish I didn't do that to myself! I used to do that with phone numbers... write the number down..nothing else, just the number! Would see number in my diary months down the road and have no idea what it was for or who to. Decided to add names to number! Hasn't helped a darn bit! I still can't remember who or what! lololol I'm beginning to think I need a keeper! lololol Never mind, guys! Trust me, I am way ahead of you! lloll

Well, I best get scooting here... I haven't read anybodys posts for several days now!

I don't want to hear it... Marv, just hush! The whole world knows I'm late. I'm old and feeble and allowed to sleep late if I wanna! Cause i said! lolol

I was down in the dumps for a couple of days (amazing what you can find there) but am ok now... Sorry about the News, I just wasn't up to it... However, today is a new day no matter how late it might start! lolol

Let's see, where did I leave off? Oh yeah, Grasscutter and the furniture moving... Hmm! Well, I decided I am going to paint the one wall in the bedroom Black. Yes, Black! It will have large banana leaves in white and a soft russet painted on it.

In order to do that, I needed to move the dresser from the corner of the 'apartment'. Everybody still with me? OK

Well, to move dresser to the 'work' room, needed to move furniture and stuff around in work room to make room! lollol Still with me... cause there is more!

Had to move the big rollaround table (part of the support to the puter table) to the corner for the tv after moving the dresser! That part is done in no time! However, the back part of puter table is now sagging! (This table top is a 3x8 core door) Hmmm!

I go to basement and bring up a 2 x 4 x 10'. Move, push, shove puter and top around... very carefully. Grasscutter finds the studs (a maddening job in itself) and mounts the 2 x 4 to the wall. We wrestle part of the door onto this ledge, move the two drawer filing cabs to the front edge of the top... I'm in business except for... Oh Chit! I forgot the wires! Oh dear, the wires! Move, shove filing cabs and top again! I crawl to the back of the set up and start playing with the wires. Gots to get the wires clear of the 2x4 and the top! Grasscutter in the meantime is trying to keep the whole thing from collapsing on top of me!

Mumbling and grumbling the whole time, I stuff wires thru the door knob hole that comes with the door! I think I also said a few unlady like words while I was crunched into that small space! I am not known for my patience in some situations... Trust me, this was one of those times!

Did I mention that I am old and feeble? lolol Well, after being in that cramped environment for over an hour, I finally got all the wires straightened out and clear. Started to crawl out and found that I had stiffened up. Now I AM moaning and groaning! I crawled out/around the filing cabs, from under the top on my hands and knees... All the way around the end, along the side, over to the bed and finally managed to get up on all two's... Complaining bitterly about man, God and Nature but not necessarily in that order!

Grasscutter, in the mean time, has moved my hanging chair two feet to the west.. So now everything is centered and I am back in business! I think!

Oh, the Water line crew brot my big rock for the front porch step and placed it right where I wanted it... they also ran the water line under the road to my side and dug the water pit! I now have a 3' section of pipe sticking up in the front yard with nothing attached to it! Hmmm! Now what!
Another problem to solve! lolol

Well kids! I managed to get into more trouble yesterday...lolol Would I do sumfin like that? Oh yeah!

I laffed, cracked up, giggled, tee hee'd, cried, whooped and hollered... fell on the floor, pounded fists, kicked heels and screamed! Not very ladylike, I'm afraid but I couldn't help it... The KK and Marv were going 'at it' tooth and nail... I helped out by making sure the one knew what the other was saying! lolol (Is this aiding and abetting? I sure hope so)

The KK was well armed and on the alert! Marv did his best but couldn't quite keep up with KK... lolol Marv asked for a 48 hour truce because of the monsoon...KK didn't buy a nickels worth of that! Lordy pete, I have the giggles again just thinking about it! I think the Marv got scared of the KK... There is nothing worse than a female on a rampage! lolol Us wimmin have long memories! I finally got an email from Marv...

I'm hitting the streets.
Keep an eye on "KK" for me.

This note from Marv tells me he is very nervous and needs help in keeping the eye out! lolol Sorry Sweets... You is on your own... I just aid and abet! I think I am getting hysterical again! The Battle Royale went on for hours and hours... I finally moved to the FOS (fall out shelter) for my own safety!

Oopsie, Grasscutter is here...I forgot that this is the weekend for him to come out and work on the yard. Gots to get going... Meems isn't even dressed yet... still in my robe! Later all of mine!

Good Grief! (to quote Charlie Brown) It is nasty hot and humid out there again! Ceiling must be zero at least and the humids are at 88%. I ain't sitting in fog... for sure those are ground hugging clouds out there!

Tee hee hee! KK and the Marv are at it again... and both are trying to drag me into the middle...lololol I, in all my sweetness and charm, have joined right in! Keep the ol pot boiling has become my motto! I am getting tickled! This is not a good sign for thems that's involved! I don't expect any serious blood-letting here, but one can always hope...Marv did mention something about death and a message on tombstone for KK. lololol I'll keep y'all updated! lolol Gotcha... love you both... but you two are brats!

The Boss is recovering from a wonderful family reunion.... Everybody went home last Wednesday. Family reunions are so much fun but can be exhausting. Him trying to get back in the swing of things.. Hugs Boss....

Let me see here, OH, the Olbear carried and toted too much during his move a couple of weeks ago. Had to make trip to hosp and doctor... Did I chew him out or what! Oh yeah! Big time... I worry and fret and he is out playing games with furniture and stuff... That's ok tho... With the emom watching him like a hawk, I think he just might get the message to behave.... love you sweets.

Then this morning, I find a wonderful gift and message from Softy... Did you know she calls me Mama Dirt... How's that for another aka... I love it! Anyway, her caused me to cry with her lovely words... Can you tell I am not used to "nice"? Thank you dear heart... love and hugs...

I ran down to the two pumper yesterday... I was out of a few things... Expensive little place but it does save me a long trip to town! Well, they have a new cook! Temp fill in when boss lady is on a buying trip..... Kids, let me tell you... that was the worst double bacon cheeseburger I have ever had in my life... However, as my stomach seems to be made of cast iron, I think I will survive the experience! Prognosis is good anyway... lolol

I stopped at Anna's on the way home... everybody was down at the barn, hanging baccer! I had the best time and I had my camera with me...Took some pix... I got to torment men (six hired hands) that I had never met before...Lordy pete! It was hot and sultry yesterday and not a breath of air moving. Took some pix of some really hard working sweaty guys... I think they enjoyed the bantering while they worked... El, Anna's hubby, just gets tickled and Donny (a member of the family) turns beet red whenever I arrive.... I always make a big thing of giving him a smooch on the cheek! He grins and blushes harder if that is possible! lolol You should have heard the guys in the rafters... I cracked up... Poor Donny! Really good people! I love em to death!

Well, guess that's it for the day... still need to feed and water the Chicklets.

Well, I have the giggles already! Marv is on a roll.. KK is picking on me... and I am still on my first cup of coffee... and I haven't even made it to Andy's Bar yet for breakfast! Looks like it's gonna be brunch again!

Some good news/bad news.... Good news, ticks season is almost over! YES! The bad? The burrs have come out to play... Newbie is carrying the first pickin's of the season.. Can you now say: lumpy, prickly critter? lolol Ah well, what's a emom to do? Ya takes em as you get them! Oh yeah!

Let me tell you about yesterday's adventure with an order I placed at Amazon.com! Paint shop pro, older version.. sounds simple, right? WRONG!

Ordering was simple enuf even for me... however, the manufacturer sent me an email. Neil was the guy's first name! Email stated that: unless I responded with an email asap, my order would be canceled and my $ refunded! Just because Monday is a holiday! Hmmm! Now this is the first time I have EVER gotten anything like this!

Well, I copy/ paste/ write/ write/ give permission to delay shipping by one day. I double checked everything... hit the send button... and the server drops me! Trust me, demons and imps abide in my IP and Server! I had to start all over again!

Now, by this time, I was a very unhappy camper! Puter been giving me fits... (Finally, today, it seems like it's working properly... the day is early yet though.) Anyway, I think the order is in the works... I can stop pulling hair out by the roots... (KK told me bald is not the way to go!) lolol

Well, server wiped me out again! and the last part of the News went with it!
