I love watching GOOD movies! We rent alot of them each month....I love dramas, romance and Girl flixs...but of course....those don't go over too well with my hubby if he's home! LOL!
We watch alot of action and adventure, Sci Fi's and thrillers. Every once in awhile we watch a horror flick.

We really don't go out to the movie theaters much...we just wait till the movie comes out on DVD.

Lately, We've started going to the new Showboat drive-in theater in Hockley, TX on Fridays or Saturdays. It sure brings back lots of memories! The grandkids really love it!

As for music.........I like just about ANY type.
I listen to the oldies alot....Motown, Elvis, the Beatles, The Animals, The Hollies, Beach Boys, The Box Tops, CCR, Jim Croce, BB King,
Johnny Rivers, Roy Orbison, Brenda Lee, Gordon Lightfoot, The Turtles, Mamas and the Papas, Righteous Brothers, Sonny and Cher, Three Dog Night, The Grassroots...there just too many to name!

As for Country music...I like Toby Keith, Garth, Tim MCGraw, Trace Adkind, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Reba, Alan Jackson, Shania Twain,
Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Willie Nelson, Travis Tritt, Gary Morris, Vince Gill , Alabama, Rascal Flatts, George Strait and many more....
I can't think of anyone I really can't stand listening to.
I like alot of classic country artists as well.

As for Rock music....I do listen to it ALL as my hubby and son were into
Hard rock and heavy metal!
Mostly I prefer light rock...Kenny G, Cream, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, CCR,
Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Rod Stewart, Bread, Fleetwood Mac, Boston,
Grand Funk, James Taylor, Phil Collins, Sting, Lionel Richie, Michael Bolton,
George Michaels...again just about anything is fine with me.



My son, Richard, plays base guitar for "What Lies Beneath"...a metal band. They are currently making a demo and playing gigs here in the Houston area.

I love genealogy! I've been researching my family's roots for several years now.
You wouldn't believe all the nuts I have dug up so far! LOL!
I live on my computer....or at least it seems like it sometimes!!!
I really like spending time with all my grandkids and my family.
I don't get to do it as much as I would like. :(
It's a shame they have lives of their own!
I started mystery shopping a few months ago and its alot of fun....
and Hey! I get paid to do it too! LOL!

Well, what can I tell ya about me...
My life is not exciting! LOL!
I am a native Houstonian and Texan of course! LOL!
I am 50 yrs old. I've been married 33 yrs to my wonderful hubby, Richard.
We have 2 grown children, a son, Richard, Jr. (33) and a daughter, Jamie (29).
We are raising our great neice and nephew, Joey (11) and Cindy (10).
They have been with us now for 7 years.
They are both a joy and a challenge! They have ADHD and OCD!
Let me tell ya....I really feel my age with them! LOL!
We are hoping to adopt them sometime in the future.

We have been blessed with 11 beautiful grandchildren.
Our son, Richard, and our lovely DIL, Misty, have 3 handsome boys,
Nicholas, Douglas and Matthew and a beautiful daughter,Taylor Brooke.
Our daughter, Jamie's oldest son, Justin is from a previous marriage.
She and our SIL, Paul, have 3 handsome boys together, Chase, Adam and Aaron.
Paul has three other children, Paul Jr., Alyssa and Daniel.
That makes us 9 boys and 2 girls!!!

I live with chronic pain. I was hurt on the job almost 11 years ago now.
I have neck, shoulder and cervical and lumbar problems.
I am on SS disability. It is hard to deal with things somedays but I do my best.
I have other health problems as well...I am diabetic...I take pills and insulin daily.
I have depression, high blood pressure, hypothyroid, Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Complex.
I have a hard time most days doing even the simpleist things I used to do.
My husband is always telling me to "Smile."
He says I never smile anymore...I guess the pain gets to me more than I think.
I have learned to deal with good days and bad ones.
When I push myself, I usually end up paying for it for days.
My house is ALWAYS a mess these days. LOL!

My husband was also hurt on the job in 2001.
He messed up 4 vertabres in his back and was off work 2 1/2 years.
Then, just as he was returning to work, he was hit head on and reinjured everything.
Now he too, has chronic pain due to his back and shoulder injury.
He is currently working but it is really hard for him.
I worry about how much longer he will be able to continue working.
