AMONG THE GIANTS
I stepped into the forest among the giants who presided in majestic silence and power. And in the solitude there and the peace I found, I found something else deep within the forest and beneath its canopy. In the serenity of the woods and the quiet of the day I managed to find a bit of what I was looking for, a glimpse of myself often buried deep inside, some thoughts about life, and connections made and perspective clarified, as reminded once more in such a powerful way that I'm just passing through this magical place, this world and this life. And as the sun filtered through the cathedraled ceiling the gentle giants had created, I stepped out of the quiet darkness and into the rest of my day with spirit renewed as I took a bit of the forest with me in my heart until the next time.

ON THE EDGE OF TODAY
Before the night is over and before the sun begins to shine once more, on the edge of a dream the beginning of the dawn, I think about every thing I do and how blessed I am to witness the unfolding of another day, a flower grown wild in a garden of dreams, experiencing all I can just as I thought I'd seen everything there is to see.
So here I am, I'm home again; I'm ready for whatever comes this way, ready for the adventures of one more day. And on this open road in front of me, I step gladly into the future that awaits where on a day like today I am reminded one more time that my happiness is all in my state of mind.

ONE MORE DAY . . . .
Awakened gently to the silence of dawn when all is quiet and the birds still asleep, before they begin their sweet symphony that greets the sunrise and stirs something within my soul and makes me smile And as they begin their chorus of dawn, the sun beginning to shine once more, I must join in their magical song as thankful am I to dance in the sunshine for one more day among the flowers that bloom and birds soaring so high and the butterflies' magic and clouds in the sky.

NATURE'S DANCE
Transported to places so very deep within, tranquil, serene and peace therein, soft melodies plucked upon strings of gold caressing my emotions and soothing my soul. And within the notes that dance across my heart, I become as one with the world around me, as closing my eyes I join in their dance to the sweet refrains that Nature sings.

SAID SHE TO HE or A Lesson in Love
Two black widow spiders, a he and a she, happened to meet under the woodpile where no one could see. And She said to He, "Don't come near me, if you know what's good for thee, but if you must, you will see just what I have in mind, you see."
"On second thought," She said to He, "I double-dog dare you to come close to me."
And before he even knew what had happened to him, he was gone, no more left of him for he had come too close and the deed had been done and in just two love bites, he was gone, gone, gone.

ROCK ON, LITTLE ROCK STAR
Rocking horse Rock Star with dreams so big carried to the moon and galaxies beyond. His rocket ship tailor-made just for him, he sails above the clouds and midnight dreams where cradled and gently rocked to sleep, he dreams the dreams that little boys dream, the stage, the lights, the galaxies and beyond, little boy Rock Star rocketman of night.
So rock on, Little Rock Star, sing into the night where dreams are made for little boys like you. Remember your dreams and hold on to them tight, and carry them with you wherever you go.

ABOVE AND BEYOND
I search a silent path for that inner voice, deep within; I search overhead as it rises, slowly and strong, above rock and crevice, above the danger and dark of the night.

TRANSFORMING
Transformed within the darkness of night, the city's bright lights a distant view.
And in the morning, a new world opens up and comes into view within the forest not far away, as following the trail
to Nature's cathedral, the light shining through
and discovering once more a renewed perspective
 and peace in my soul.

WITHIN COMFORT'S EMBRACE
Subtle hues and melodies, Serenity's tender breath, Dusk and dawn whispering softly to me, Comforting my soul and setting me free.
Serenity's tender breath Upon butterflies' wings taking flight Comforting my soul and setting me free From winter's chill and stormy nights.
Upon butterflies' wings taking flight, Lifted high above and freed From winter's chill and stormy nights, High above all worldly cares.
Lifted high above and freed, Beyond the clouds and rainbow's end, High above all worldly cares, Within peaceful tones and comfort's embrace.
