07/01/18 WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TV SHOW?

Just a little about me. I am a registered nurse. I am a very simple person love being at home doing what I like not that I don't like the outdoors but I always have something to do that peaks my interest at home. My hobbies are photography, computers, history, physical education and health education to name a few I also play the piano when I can get around to it. I pretty much like to dip my hands in everything and try to do it well. Love meeting people and making new friends which is why I am here on this site. Though my schedule does not always permit me to be here a lot of times I embrace all my friends and you all are in my thoughts. God Bless.

BUFFALO BILL CODY IN EL PASO: THE 1914 PARADE!

Here is a fascinating photo taken during a parade on April 4, 1914,
showing none other than Buffalo Bill Cody, beard, hat and all, in the
center of the picture. In a handwritten note on the back of the picture,
it says "El Paso, Texas, taken through window of Paso Del Norte Hotel,
Buffalo Bill Cody 4-4-14"

A quick look of the buildings in the picture show us that the parade is heading south on El Paso street, just south of the San
Antonio Street intersection. The closest building (upper right in the
image) is the First National Bank building, aka John Wesley Hardin's Law
Office; a building that was destroyed by a spectacular fire a century
after this photo was taken. The very large building center left is also
called the First National Bank building (same bank, different location
and time), a Henry C. Trost designed structure. Today this building is
known as the American Furniture building and is being restored. Also, we
can see the Hotel Sheldon performing a photobomb, peeking through just
to the left of the American Furniture.

Buffalo Bill could sure attract a crowd!
