WHAT A DAY

WHAT A DAY
WHAT A DAY Vitamins with it's history going back to the late 1930s has introduced it's new Mega Booster vitamin line. After multi-trillions of vitamins sold, the company feels some changes were needed with the stressful lives of today's populace.
CEO and founder Vito Minuto , who has never been sick a day in his life since starting his daily regimen of What A Day vitamins except for a bout with lime disease , claims taking his vitamins every day has kept him free of illnesses as he will be celebrating his 102nd birthday this November.
But with the new viruses and outbreaks of the plague and leprosy and toxic shock syndrome all over the USA, he realized it was time to rev up What A Day vitamins.. The new Mega Booster line of What A Day will be hitting pharmacy shelves by October as well as other retailers all over the country. Once you incorporate these mega tablets (available in fruity crushable flavors), you'll be singing "What a Day this has been, what a rare mood I'm In. Why it's almost like being in love,"

SWIMMERS BEWARE

SWIMMERS BEWARE !!!!
Officials on Long Island are on high alert following a recent uptick in shark sightings off the coast of area beaches.
Last week, there were multiple shark sightings reported off the coast - mostly in Nassau County - prompting officials to ramp up patrols over the weekend to ensure the safety of beach-goers as the dog days of summer approach.
Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said that in response to the latest sightings, she instructed the police department to increase helicopter and marine patrols out of precaution.
These sharks are predominantly believed to be immigrant sharks who have crossed our ocean waters illegally from Mexico and Central American countries.
There have been several cases of shark bites on Jones Beach in Nassau County as well as several close encounters in Suffolk beaches.
Residents in both counties are advised to check their swimming pools for sharks too before going in the water.

SYNCHRONIZED DIVING

SYNCHRONIZED DIVING
I guess I had better get my hearing checked. At last I thought there was a competition I could really relate to in the current Olympics in Japan. Eating has always been my most enjoyable thing to look forward to so you can imagine my disappointment when I misheard some announcer saying the synchronized dining competition was coming up.

CONCERT AT THE BEACH
Posted On 07/14/2021 08:15:56
My wife and I are in for a real treat today. We're seeing the Boston Pops Orchestra this afternoon in a classic concert being performed at the popular Jones Beach Theater here on Long Island, NY. This is a full afternoon event but worth listening to.
The Boston Pops Orchestra will be playing the entire 4 hour traditional favorite summer song of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall. ". There will be a 15 minute intermission after the 51st bottle lyrics are sung. The lyrics can be purchased for a nominal fee at the Jones Beach box office.
Sadly, Arthur Fiedler will not be conducting due to his late status. He will be decomposing.

AIRLINE DELAY

AIRLINE DELAY
My daughter had a flight this morning from JFK here in Queens, NY to Los Angeles. She called us to say the departure was delayed for over an hour from the airport due to lack of staff. I'm not kidding.
Lack of staff? Does that mean the passengers won't get served coffee or tea or some simple snacks? Geez. I hope the pilot and co-pilot showed up. I doubt if every stewardess is like Karen Black who could fly the plane.

EL BURNADINNER

EL BURNADINNER
WOW. YUMMY. DELICIOSO . My wife and I were treated to this most exquisite and unique restaurant in Manhattan ,NY that has these incredibly inexpensive pre-fixed dinners.
There's just one minor item you should be aware of before dining there. Not only are these dinners prix-fixed (pre fixed) but everything you eat is "pre" . The portions are smaller because these meals have been pre-eaten and often pre-chewed if you're lucky enough to get someone's steak or chicken that was under or over cooked but you benefit enjoying what's left at a tremendous discount.
From soup to dessert, you'll enjoy specials like their mini-strone soup...you could fit in a toy tea cup or maybe a piece of fudge or gelatin still sticking to a half a cherry from someone's sundae. There's no floundering around if you order the special pre-fixe fish. No bones about it. You'll enjoy what's left from some overstuffed patron. I even had a piece of cigar butt in my lobster tail.
This exciting never knowing what to expect eating adventure awaits you. Bon Apetit.Γ°ΕΈΛœβ€Ή

DISCOVERY OF THE CENTURY
Posted On 07/08/2021 05:36:08
I saw a June Bug by our house this morning...aka June Beetle or May Bug. The June Bug is a beetle. But it's JULY !!!!! It's not June. AND to say a May Bug is here in July would be more astounding. These rather large beetles are just not supposed to be here now, otherwise they'd be called July Beetles.
I've contacted all our local newspapers, Eye Witness News Team plus several TV networks are sending reporters and camera crews to witness this once in a lifetime sight. The NY entomological society is also sending their leading coleoptera (beetle) expert to confirm this bizarre discovery. It's like having snow in July in New York City or Christmas in August which is a reality in some retail stores. " June is busting out all over" is taking on a new meaning.

MY FIRST SIGHTING
Posted On 06/30/2021 11:39:47
Finally finally finally saw my first cicada shell this morning. But no signs of any cicadas or their lovely buzzing. It's like that old Peter,Paul, and Mary's hit song..."Where have all the Cicadas gone. "
But just looking at this breathtaking casing, one can only imagine the beautiful insect that emerged. a sight for sore eyes, a face only a mother could love... . Mother nature has given us a vision ,for sure, when we turn our eyes and admire these gorgeous summer friends,. Oh, I just love cuddling up with a swarm of these adorable cutie pies.

CAR SHOPPING
Posted On 06/19/2021 04:13:04
Well, the time has come to start looking for a new car, the Mrs. said, now that pandemic restrictions are somewhat less restrictive and both of us have been vaccinated months ago.
But NO... a Ford or Chevy or Honda or Hyundai wasn't the typical type of car dealership I thought my wife would want to go to but instead,, something really sporty .maybe to somehow bridge our middle life crisis to the imminent old age crisis.
So we visited a Fiat dealer which was a humongous mistake. My arachnophobia had me out of the showroom before the salesman could barely say a word when I realized I was standing right next to a Fiat 124 Spider.
